Ziptech Advantages |
Ziptech – the highly flexible, sophisticated, lightweight building solution that can be adapted to suit the exact requirements of the building.
Economical and Durable
- Pre-fabricated component systems are available.
- Installation is very quick and relatively simple.
A wide variety of application configurations suitable for:
- All shapes and pitches of roof from 1.5*
- All substructures and supporting structures.
- Ventilated and non-ventilated roof designs.
Flexibility
- Ziptech can be adjusted to suit the layout, geometry and size of most buildings.
Strength and lightweight
- Although light in weight, Ziptech is extremely strong, which is ideal for large spans and renovating old roofs.
Continuous lengths
- Continuous lengths of up to 100 metres are available when roll forming takes place on-site.
Excellent Acoustic and Thermal Insulation
- Extremely efficient thermal and acoustic insulation can be achieved by using suitable materials.
- Selection of the appropriate thickness of insulating material ensures that the roof structure can be adapted to suit the requirements of the building and meet the strict insulation specifications.
Performance is a priority
- The roofing element remains safe throughout the service life.
- Special halters attach the profiles sheets to the substructure.
- The halters are locked into the seam and are overlapped by the following Ziptech element so that the fixing elements are hidden under the roof.
- The roof sheets are overlapped and the halters are locked into the male rib of the sheet.
- The sheets are then seamed together, creating a roof skin that is not punctured by any fixing element.
- The mechanical zipping of the seams produces a load bearing, permanent connection.
- Pressure and suction loads are safely absorbed. Residual moisture I the insulating layer can evaporate through the seam.
- Sophisticated solutions are offered for roof penetration, joints and gable ends.
- The material is non-flammable and is resistant to flying sparks and radiant heat.
- Ziptech can be used as a lightning conductor, in line with international standards.
